“Lagoon” – modern interior door features stile and rail wood construction. Stiles and rails are made of engineered wood – a combination of pine core and a thin layer of MDF. Such design makes it stable during different humidity conditions. Compared to a completely solid wood door, it does not swell or contract as much as the other. Finish of the door is a natural oak veneer.
Door jambs (frames) come in two sizes – 3″ and 4″ wide. A typical wall built with 2×4 beam and 1/2″ sheetrock measures 4 1/2″ in width. Thicker walls require bigger extension jamb planks. Measure your walls accurately in order to obtain proper materials for your installation project.
Telescopic moldings (casings) are installed with no nails. Construction adhesives can be used to attach them to the walls. Moldings come as separate pieces, installed on a site, five pieces per door.
