What is a pocket door?

A pocket door is a sliding door that dissapears in the adjasent wall when fully open. It doesn’t have any hinges, no swing direction. It slides on rollers suspended from an overhead track. Some mechanisms offer a guide or tracks along the floor. Any of our door slabs can be used in a pocket door configuration. Pocket doors can be made as single or double doors.

Materials required for pocket doors:

  • Pocket door frame (Johnson Hardware)
  • Door slab
  • Pocket door jambs and casings set
  • Sliding door handle

Pocket door jambs and casings set consists of two long flat planks (side mounted), one short flat plank (top mounted), four long casings (side mounted), and two short casings (top mounted).

Rubber seal or tape can be used for soft operation.

Sliding door handles come with passage or privacy function.
